A frost-tender fern that forms a slender trunk as it matures and produces stiff, upright to arching fronds up to 90cm tall and wide.

A rosette-forming, terrestrial bromeliad with slender, spiny-toothed, rigid, mid to dark-green, evergreen leaves up to 50cm long. In summer each mature rosette produces a dense central cluster of pale sky-blue flowers surrounded by ivory-white bracts. At this time, the innermost leaves of the rosette turn scarlet red.  Supplied in 3ltr pots.  

Musa 'Florida Variegata', also known as the variegated banana plant, is a popular ornamental banana prized for its striking, boldly patterned green and white leaves. It's a relatively compact plant, making it suitable for indoor spaces. This variety needs warmth, high humidity, and bright, indirect light to maintain its variegation.  Thrives outside in a warm Summer but must come in for the Winter.

An evergreen perennial growing to 2.5m tall, with slender stems bearing paddle-shaped leaves and arching spikes of pink flowers with showy pink bracts in summer, followed by inedible, pink banana-like fruits.  Plants may slightly differ in size to that in photo and will be in a 2ltr or 3ltr pot. Thrives outside in a warm Summer 10 - 15 degrees but must come in for the Winter.

A tender, upright perennial growing to 2.5m tall, with huge, paddle-shaped, burgundy-splashed leaves. In summer cream or yellow flowers may be produced from purple bracts; these are followed, in ideal conditions, by small banana fruits.  Sizes may slightly differ from that in photo, plants will be in a 2ltr or 3ltr pot.

Gunnera manicata grown from seed by us from our plant (mother plant second picture, early on in the year.)  3ltr pots.  This is a beautiful plant with leaves reaching up to 3m accross. The grandest foliage plant for damp or boggy soil, giving a tropical air to temperate gardens. You may shelter beneath huge parasol-like leaves, held  aloft on wrist-thick, bristly stalks. Curious flower spikes hide beneath, differing from G. tinctoria as they are finger-like rather than club-like. Apply farmyard manure lavishly. Protect coconut-sized resting buds in winter with own foliage bent over, plus bracken or herbaceous remains.  Full sun.
