Tetrapanax Deep Grooved Rex - 2 or 3ltr pot

Will take most soils apart from soils prone to water logging in Winter. Will develop into a large shrub/small tree and likes a sunny sheltered spot.  Very deep grooves in thelarge leaves up to 1m across. Common name is rice paper plant due to the fact that rice paper was produced from it.

Supplie in a 2ltr pot, this is the standard Tetrapanax and not a Rex please see our other tetrapanax listings for different varieties. A large, fast-growing shrub or small tree to about 5m high, producing a thicket of upright stems topped by large, palmately lobed green leaves. New shoots and leaves have a coating of fine coppery hairs. Creamy pompoms of flowers are produced in large sprays in autumn, followed by black fruit.
