Cordyline Torbay Dazzler - 2ltr pot

The Cordyline australis 'Torbay Dazzler' is an evergreen, palm-like plant that is prized for its architectural form and variegated foliage. It is relatively easy to care for and tolerant of coastal conditions, making it a popular choice for gardens in milder climates. The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has given it the Award of Garden Merit (AGM). 

Appearance

• Foliage: The foliage is the main attraction, with sword-shaped, arching leaves that feature bold cream and white stripes against a green center.
• Flowers: Mature plants may produce fragrant, ivory-white flowers in the summer.
• Height and spread: It has a slow to moderate growth rate, typically reaching a height of 3–4 meters and a spread of 1–1.5 meters over 10–20 years.
• Form: The plant develops a single trunk, which is topped with a dense rosette of leaves, creating a tropical look. 

Growing conditions

• Sunlight: Plant in a sheltered spot that receives full sun or partial shade. Variegation is more intense in brighter light.
• Soil: It requires well-drained, fertile soil. It can tolerate a range of soil types, including chalk, clay, and sand, but it should not be waterlogged, especially in winter.
