£11.00
Acacia pravissima, commonly known as Ovens wattle, is an evergreen shrub or small tree native to southeastern Australia. It is popular in cultivation for its graceful, slightly weeping habit, distinctive triangular foliage, and abundant, fragrant yellow flowers that bloom in late winter to early spring.
- Foliage: The plant features unique grey-green, triangular leaf-like structures called phyllodes, which are actually modified leaf stalks. These are evergreen and give the plant a glaucous, or blue-green, appearance.
- Flowers: The flowers are small, spherical, and bright yellow, appearing in dense, fragrant clusters along the branches. They are a valuable source of nectar for bees and other pollinators during the cooler months.
- Size: It typically grows into a large shrub or small tree, reaching a height of 3-8 meters (10-25 feet) with a spread of 3-4.5 meters (10-15 feet).
