- Post-Bloom Interest: As the flowers fade, they are replaced by beautiful, silky, plume-like seed heads that remain decorative into summer.
- Growth Habit: Compact and upright, reaching a mature height and spread of roughly 30cm x 30cm (12in x 12in).
- Sunlight: Full sun is essential for best flowering.
- Soil: Must be very well-drained. It thrives in poor, gritty, sandy, or chalky soils. It will rot in heavy, winter-wet clay.
- Hardiness: Fully hardy across the UK and northern climates, surviving freezing winter temperatures.
- Maintenance: Extremely low maintenance and drought-tolerant once established. It is also highly resistant to deer and rabbits.
